Discover picturesque Alsace on our day trip from Colmar. Immerse yourself in the charm, history and culinary delights of this magnificent region.
Our first stop is the enchanting village of Eguisheim. Stroll through its narrow streets, admire the colorful half-timbered houses and soak up its medieval atmosphere.
Then it's on to Kaysersberg, another Alsatian gem. Marvel at its traditional architecture, fortified bridge and rich heritage.
We'll take a short break at the Sigolsheim Necropolis, a memorial to the soldiers who fell in the Second World War, where you'll have a panoramic view of the Alsace Wine Route.
The next destination is Riquewihr, famous for its medieval charm. Enjoy a well-deserved lunch break and sample the region's gastronomic specialties in one of the village's charming restaurants.
Afterwards, we'll visit the majestic Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg. Entrance to the château is included in our tour, allowing you to explore the various rooms, stroll through the courtyards and admire the architectural beauty of this medieval fortress. A very comprehensive tour!
The tour was great. Lots of good information in the audio recordings, an easy way to view many villages of the Alsace region in a single day. Particularly recommend it to tourists without a personal auto, as it would be difficult to visit these areas otherwise. The stops were all wonderful and memorable with many photography, eating, and shopping opportunities. The visit to the castle was definitely a highlight. If you are visiting Alsace for the first time, this would be a great way to get a comprehensive overview at the start of your trip. All instructions were very clear.
Fantastic tour - highly recommend
The medieval villages tour was one of the best things that my teenagers and I did on our trip to the Alsace region. We loved the places we visited! Our tour guide was great. I highly recommend this as a way to see a lot in a day.
