After a thorough briefing by our experienced guide, you will leave the SeaSide Beach grounds and ride on well-maintained paths—almost always right next to the lake—initially heading towards Heisingen. We pass the Carl Funke coal mine, which was shut down in the 1970s, and feel as if we have been transported back to a time when Lake Baldeney was not yet a recreational area, but coal was still being mined on its shores. Another relic from this era is the old Kupferdreh railway bridge, over which coal trains once rolled. Today, only pedestrians, cyclists, inline skaters, and us Segway riders are allowed to cross the bridge. We continue along the lake shore and arrive at Haus Scheppen, a former feudal estate and now a popular meeting place for bikers. There we take a break to stretch our legs and refuel (not the Segways, the riders) before continuing on our way. Passing the weir and with a view of Villa Hügel, we arrive in Essen-Werden, cross the Ruhr again and pass the regatta course. Then the beach club slowly comes back into view, where you can enjoy a cool drink and the warm sun after our tour.

| Important information | Helmets are mandatory on our tours. Feel free to bring your own. Alternatively, you can rent it for 2,- EUR. We always have a sufficient number of helmets on site and they do not have to be booked in advance. Conditions of participation: The minimum age for participation is 14 years. Participants must weigh at least 45 kg and no more than 118 kg. In case of heavy rain, tours will not take place for safety reasons. You can arrange a new tour date. Vouchers remain valid. Driving under the influence of alcohol or other drugs is prohibited. Helmets are compulsory. Helmets will be provided upon request.
