Discover the Alsace vineyards
The Alsatian vineyard of Colmar, located in the Grand Est region of France, is one of the oldest and most famous vineyards in the region. The vineyards stretch across the hills surrounding Colmar, producing some of the finest and most aromatic wines in the region.
Alsace is famous for its white wines, particularly Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris, all produced in the Colmar area. The clay and limestone soils and continental climate provide ideal conditions for growing these grapes, which produce fresh, fruity wines with great aromatic complexity.
The Alsace vineyards of Colmar are also famous for their picturesque architecture, with traditional half-timbered houses that blend perfectly into the wine-growing landscape. Cellars and wine tastings are also a popular tourist attraction, offering visitors the chance to discover local wines in a unique and charming setting.
The Alsace vineyards of Colmar are also known for their wine festivals, notably the fête des vendanges, which takes place every September and celebrates the end of the harvest. Visitors can sample local wines and take part in activities such as grape picking, wine tasting and open-air concerts.
Finally, the town of Colmar itself is a popular tourist destination, with its cobbled streets and well-preserved historic buildings. Visitors can explore the town's museums and art galleries, as well as the local markets where they can buy regional products such as cheeses and charcuterie.
Duration: 1/2 day.
Location: Colmar, with the option of doing the tour in Strasbourg and Mulhouse.
