What happens during the guided tour ?
Our tour starts at Place Guillaume II, at the William II statue, a bustling square surrounded by cafes and restaurants. This vibrant hub is perfect for relaxation and people-watching. Indulge in some local cuisine or refreshments as you reflect on the rich tapestry of Luxembourg's past and present. You will be introduced to captivating tales about the establishment of the Grand Duchy and its visionary founder, Sigfrid. As the guide continues its storytelling, marvel at the Grand-Ducal Palace, with its impressive facade and changing of the guard ceremony. While the interior is not open to the public, the exterior alone is a testament to Luxembourg's regal history.
Moving on, we'll see the Notre-Dame Cathedral, a magnificent Gothic masterpiece. Admire the intricate stained glass windows and the sculpted beauty of this centuries-old cathedral. The interior is equally awe-inspiring, with its vaulted ceilings and historical artifacts. The next segment of our tour takes us to the Corniche, often referred to as the "most beautiful balcony in Europe." This elevated promenade offers breathtaking views of the Alzette Valley and the ancient city below. Take a moment to soak in the panoramic scenery and appreciate the unique layout of Luxembourg City.
The guide will also delve into the language's origins and shed light on the fascinating underground tunnels known as "the Casemates." In the course of this guided tour, you'll get the chance to have a sweet tasting at a local partner... the rest keeps a surprise !

Was a wonderful experience! Megan was knowledgeable and when the route we were to use was closed she was able to quickly adjust! Just a great way to spend the afternoon in Luxembourg! Highly recommended!
Was an amazing experience from booking and our amazing tour guide, Megan.
Great way to spend a first day in Luxembourg
This was a really enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. Our guide, Francesco, was very knowledgeable and passionate about his country. There was a lot more to learn about Luxembourg City than I expected. Two of us didn't have somewhere else to be, so he continued beyond the 2,5 hrs to show us "his" city. He spoke French, German, Italian, English and Portuguese in the space of the afternoon - fantastic!
