The Rham Plateau proudly overlooks three sides of the Alzette valley and offers a stunning view of the old city of Luxembourg. It has been an integral part of Luxembourg’s fortifications since the 15th century and was later expanded by Vauban with four imposing military barracks, currently used as modern and comfortable housing for seniors. You can make a stop for a few minutes while waiting for the next train.

Meeting point

The departure point is in front of the Bock Casemates (Casemates du Bock). To get to the starting point, take the tram or bus to the "Hamilius" stop. Then, walk about 12 minutes along Avenue Monterey and Place d'Armes to get to Montée de Clausen.

Great value tour of the old town of Luxembourg. Great to jump on the train to beat the hills and view the sights in the old town. Interesting facts delivered by an audio description in many languages. Excellent value - highly recommend!

Super ambiance, on a eu la change d'avoir le bus rien que pour nous. Attention l'hiver ce n'est pas le train ouvert mais un mini-bus. Cela ne nous a pas empêché de passer un excellent moment. Surtout à la fin quand le bus est devenu décapotable et qu'on a écouté de la musique. Entre découverte culturel et fun, nous avons passé un excellent moment. Merci encore à notre super driver !
