On the programme

Turin food tours are the perfect way to discover a city renowned for elegance, tradition, and exceptional cuisine.

The Turin Gourmet Food Tour leads you through historic neighborhoods, refined wine bars, and traditional trattorias, unveiling one of the most authentic and celebrated culinary traditions in Northern Italy.

With this tour, you’ll immerse yourself in the genuine Turinese lifestyle, enjoying the warm atmosphere of local spots while tasting iconic savory dishes that tell the story of Piedmont’s land, history, and passion for food.

POSSIBLE TASTINGS:

  • Handmade Breadsticks (Grissini) – Born in the royal bakeries of Turin in the 17th century, these long, crisp breadsticks became a favorite of kings and street cafés alike. You’ll taste artisan grissini in one of the city’s most beloved wine bars, paired with a carefully selected Piedmontese wine that enhances their nutty aroma and delicate crunch.
  • Cheeses and Cured Meats from Piedmont – Piedmont’s Alpine pastures and rolling hills produce some of Italy’s finest DOC and PDO cheeses and salumi. This tasting may include raw-milk cheeses, silky lardo, and robust cured meats, showcasing local aging techniques and mountain traditions.
  • Agnolotti – Originally created by country cooks in the Monferrato hills for festive occasions, these small parcels of fresh pasta are filled with a rich blend of meat and seasonal vegetables, served with a deeply flavored roasted meat sauce (arrosto).
  • Tajarin – This golden, egg-rich pasta from the Langhe countryside is rolled incredibly thin and cut into fine ribbons. Made with generous egg yolks, tajarin offers a silky texture that pairs beautifully with simple, luxurious sauces such as butter and sage or truffle-based condiments.
  • Vitello Tonnato – A classic of Piedmontese cuisine, this dish features tender slices of slow-cooked veal topped with a smooth tuna and caper sauce. Once served at aristocratic banquets, it remains a refined and surprising balance of land and sea.
  • Handmade Chocolate Confections – Turin is the cradle of Italian chocolate, home to the first pralines and iconic gianduiotti. You’ll taste artisanal chocolates made with local hazelnuts and fine cocoa, discovering why the city is a paradise for chocolate lovers.
