On the programme

Our Verona food tour will lead you to the discovery of Verona and its history through the classic food of Veronese or “Scaliger” tradition. Starting with the classic aperitif, passing by a taste of risottos or fresh pasta and finishing with polenta, pastissada, horse meat stew or the Veronese style codfish.

POSSIBLE TASTINGS:

Wine and Crostini - the traditional aperitif with crostini, stuffed with local products, and 1 glass of local wine in the framework of one of the oldest Veronese taverns.
Fresh handmade pasta - you'll taste the typical Veronese pasta in a modern and welcoming gastronomy that has become a point of reference for the Veronese. The dish will be paired to a suitable glass of local wine.
Verona style cod fish - a recipe appreciated throughout the province of Verona. Alternatively, you can also taste two other main dishes of the Veronese cuisine: the "Pastissada", a special recipe with which you can enjoy horse meat or Polenta with soppressa (Italian cold meats). Wine will also be relished here to conclude the savoury dishes tastings.
Risino - a dessert from Veronese tradition based on rice, which you will hardly find outside the walls of fair Verona.
Ice cream - served with flavours created with local and excellent ingredients, to finish the tour in the finest way.
Espresso coffee - Italian coffee in one of the most appreciated Patisseries in Verona.
